Black Phosphorus‐Based Nanocomposites as Anode Materials for Lithium‐Ion Batteries: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
Multifunctional black phosphorus nanocomposites with carbon, metal/oxide, and polymers suppress volume expansion, enhance conductivity, and enable durable, high‐capacity LIB anodes. ABSTRACT Black phosphorus (BP) is a layered and two‐dimensional substance that has been discussed as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) due to its ...

Electrochemical Skeletal Editing via Manganese‐Catalyzed Nitrogen Atom Insertion Scalable by Electroflow

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 5, May 2026.
Direct nitrogen atom insertion for skeletal editing tends to rely on superstoichiometric amounts of chemical oxidants. Herein, we report on a manganaelectro‐catalyzed nitrogen atom insertion into indenes with broad scope to access isoquinolines. Additionally, the reaction is easily scalable via electroflow.

Experimental methods in chemical engineering: Atomic absorption spectrometry—AAS

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 5, Page 2206-2224, May 2026.
Abstract Elements absorb electromagnetic radiation (light) of a specific wavelength in proportion to the number of atoms in its path. As the atoms absorb this light energy, electrons rise from the ground state to an excited state. In atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), high temperatures produce clouds of atoms from the sample (atomization) and ...

Esketamine Preserves Network Connectivity and Promotes Recovery in Consciousness Disorders

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 5, May 2026.
Esketamine anesthesia promotes consciousness recovery in patients with disorders of consciousness by preserving brain network complexity and connectivity during surgery. Compared to propofol, esketamine facilitates superior neurophysiological preservation and shows a strong trend toward improved long‐term clinical outcomes.
