On descent theory and main conjectures in non-commutative Iwasawa theory
We develop an explicit descent theory in the context of Whitehead groups of non-commutative Iwasawa algebras. We apply this theory to describe the precise connection between main conjectures of non-commutative Iwasawa theory (in the spirit of Coates ...

Heights on ‘hybrid orbits’ in Shimura varieties
Abstract We prove the ‘hybrid conjecture’ which is a common generalisation of the André–Oort conjecture and the André–Pink–Zannier conjecture, in the case of Shimura varieties of abelian type.

An EZ${\mathcal {E}\mathcal {Z}}$‐structure for the mapping class group
Abstract We construct a boundary for the mapping class group Mod(S)${\rm Mod}(S)$ of a surface S$S$ of finite type. The action of Mod(S)${\rm Mod}(S)$ on this boundary is minimal, strongly proximal and topologically free. The boundary is the boundary of an EZ${\mathcal {E}\mathcal {Z}}$‐structure for Mod(S)${\rm Mod}(S)$.

The Guillemin-Sternberg conjecture for noncompact groups and spaces
The Guillemin–Sternberg conjecture states that “quantisation commutes with reduction” in a specific technical setting. So far, this conjecture has almost exclusively been stated and proved for compact Lie groups G acting on compact symplectic manifolds ...

Syntomic cohomology and real topological cyclic homology
Abstract We define motivic filtrations on real topological Hochschild homology and its companions. In particular, we prove that real topological cyclic homology admits a natural complete filtration whose graded pieces are equivariant suspensions of syntomic cohomology.

On 7‐adic Galois representations for elliptic curves over Q$\mathbb {Q}$
Abstract In recent years, significant progress has been made on Mazur's Program B, with many authors beginning a systematic classification of all possible images of p$p$‐adic Galois representations attached to elliptic curves over Q$\mathbb {Q}$. Currently, the classification is only complete for p∈{2,3,13,17}$p \in \lbrace 2,3,13,17\rbrace$.

An Equivariant Version of an Index Formula of Fröhlich and McCulloh
By Iwasawa's index formula, the order of the minus class groupCl(Z[ζp])−equals the index ofI−in ZG−, whereG=Gal(Q(ζp)/Q) andIis the Stickelberger ideal in ZG.
