Dual‐Layer Conducting and Redox Polymer Bioanodes for Synergistic Enhancement of Microbial Extracellular Electron Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid PEDOT/Fc‐LPEI conducting/redox polymer bioanode synergistically improves microbial extracellular electron transfer (EET) in Shewanella oneidensis MR‐1. The dual‐layer interface delivers 18‐fold higher current output and 27‐fold greater charge collected than bare carbon felt, highlighting an effective strategy for high‐performance ...

Atmospheric conservation properties in ERA‐Interim

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 2011
AbstractWe study the global atmospheric budgets of mass, moisture, energy and angular momentum in the latest reanalysis from the European Centre for Medium‐Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), ERA‐Interim, for the period 1989–2008 and compare with ERA‐40. Most of the measures we use indicate that the ERA‐Interim reanalysis is superior in quality to ERA‐40.

WRF high resolution dynamical downscaling of ERA-Interim for Portugal

Climate Dynamics, 2012
This study proposes a dynamically downscaled climatology of Portugal, produced by a high resolution (9 km) WRF simulation, forced by 20 years of ERA-Interim reanalysis (1989–2008), nested in an intermediate domain with 27 km of resolution. The Portuguese mainland is characterized by large precipitation gradients, with observed mean annual precipitation

Interim Leadership in an Era of Change

International Journal of Nursing Education Scholarship, 2004
As dean and chair positions in baccalaureate programs in nursing are vacated, the role of the interim leader can emerge as a confusing yet crucial role during the interregnum. This can occur even if the new administrator has had a faculty role at the institution.
