Quantized predictive control over erasure channels

open access: yesProceedings of the 48h IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) held jointly with 2009 28th Chinese Control Conference, 2009
We study a control architecture for linear time-invariant plants which are affected by random disturbances. The distinguishing aspect of the situation at hand is that an unreliable data-rate limited network is placed between controller and the plant input. To achieve robustness with respect to i.i.d.

Inhibition of Calcium‐Dependent Lipid Droplets Relocation of ACSL4‐PKCβ‐ALOX15 Complex Alleviates Ferroptosis and Acute Pancreatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies L‐type calcium channel blockers as novel ferroptosis inhibitors. It reveals that PKCβ, activated in calcium dependent manner, phosphorylates and activates ACSL4 and ALOX15, relocating them to lipid droplets to promote lethal lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.

Partly systematic Luby transform codes based on improved progressive edge-growth algorithm for Mars communications

open access: yesJournal of Algorithms & Computational Technology, 2018
The Luby transform code is a forward error correction code and was originally designed for the erasure channel. In this paper, the Luby transform codes over the Mars communication channel are investigated. To guarantee the reliable data transmission over

Activated Platelet–Released Heat Shock Protein 90α Triggers Autophagy‐Dependent Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation and Amplifies Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HSP90α is significantly upregulated in platelets from sepsis patients, with its origin from megakaryocyte‐derived trafficking. Furthermore, activated platelets secrete HSP90α into the extracellular space in both free and exosome‐associated forms. Finally, extracellular HSP90α directly engages TLR4 on neutrophils to induce autophagy, leading to NET ...

Protograph-Based Globally-Coupled LDPC Codes Over the Gaussian Channel With Burst Erasures

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents two types of protograph-based globally-coupled low-density parity-check (GC-LDPC) codes formed by a new edge spreading operation. This operation is called the global edge spreading.

Tunable Switching Mechanisms in HfZrO2‐Based Tunnel Junctions for High‐Performance Synaptic Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates hybrid switching in engineered HZO‐based FTJs, enabled by controlled interlayer design and oxygen scavenging dynamics. The combined switching mechanism produces robust multilevel conductance states in large crossbar arrays, offering a materials‐driven pathway toward scalable in‐memory computing with enhanced tunability and ...

Multifunctional Gelatin‐Based Smart Films Integrating Thermochromic Encryption, Temperature‐Regulated Photothermal Management, Reprocessability, and Biodegradability for Sustainable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multifunctional gelatin films synergizing thermochromic encryption, self‐regulating photothermal management, and closed‐loop recyclability offer sustainable solutions for intelligent packaging. ABSTRACT Multifunctional gelatin‐based smart films are engineered by incorporating hyperbranched polyglycerol (HBPG) as a plasticizer, dialdehyde β‐cyclodextrin

Noise Fingerprints as a Quantitative Order Parameter for Polarization‐ and Defect‐Mediated Switching in Hafnia Ferroelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Low‐frequency noise fingerprints in hafnia ferroelectrics provide a quantitative handle to resolve the long‐standing debate between polarization‐mediated and defect‐mediated switching. By tuning oxygen vacancy density via ALD O3 dose time and applying a physically constrained deconvolution, we extract bias‐resolved current fractions for both mechanisms

Mitophagy and Ubiquitination Coordinate Context‐Specific Mitochondrial Quality Control and EMT/MET Plasticity to Drive Cancer Cell Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metastatic invasion emerges when tumor‐intrinsic programs and microenvironmental forces converge on mitochondrial quality control. A context‐stratified framework links mtROS, mtDNA integrity, mechanics and nutrient/oxygen cues to fission–fusion remodeling, mtUPR and mitophagy.
