Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

Erbium environments in erbium-silicon/silica light emitting nanostructures
Co-doping of SiO2 with Si and Er to achieve silica fibre amplifiers has resulted in encouraging levels of light emission, much above those of Er-only doped SiO2. However, different fabrication methods, i.e., co-implantion and sequential implantation of Er and Si, has led to several factors difference in light levels.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors frequently silence MEN1 through epigenetic mechanisms. Here, SIRT7 recruits DNMT1 to the MEN1 promoter, drives hypermethylation, and enhances DNA repair. Inhibiting SIRT7 restores MEN1, reduces MRN complex abundance, impairs double‐strand break repair, and sensitizes PanNET models to radiation, supporting SIRT7 as a ...

A supramolecular nanocomplex based on phenolic‐modified silk sericin is developed to deliver antioxidant enzymes across the blood–brain barrier and escape lysosomal degradation. This dual‐barrier‐crossing system reduces neuroinflammation and improves cognitive performance in Alzheimer's disease mouse model, offering a promising strategy for protein ...

Interaction of water vapor with erbium and erbium dideuteride films
In the processing of reactive metal films, which are used for hydrogen storage, considerable damage to the surfaces of these films occurs due to gaseous contaminants. One of the major contaminants encountered in the vacuum environment where these films are deposited and hydrided is water vapor.
