One species of each of the three mesoparasitic ergasilid genera, Therodamas Krøyer, Mugilicola Tripathi and Paeonodes Wilson, is described in detail. The descriptions of P. subviridis n. sp. and Mugilicola bulbosus Tripathi are based on new material collected from Liza subviridis (Valenciennes) from Guam and India, respectively.

Neoergasilus japonicus (Crustacea: Ergasilidae). A parasitic copepod new to Britain
Journal of Zoology, 1982The copepod Neoergasilus japonicus, which is parasitic on fresh‐water teleosts, is recorded in Britain for the first time. Previous records of this species have been restricted to Eastern Europe and Asia. A key is provided to distinguish N. japonicus from other Ergasilidae found in Britain and a description of N. japonicus found in Britain is included.

Description of a new Nipergasilus species (Family: Ergasilidae) from the gills of grey mullet
Hydrobiologia, 2000A new Nipergasilus species is described from the gills of the grey mullet Valamugil cunnesius from several localities in India and Pakistan. The new species is closely related to Nipergasilus bora (Yamaguti, 1939) which is also recorded here on three species of grey mullet. The genus Nipergasilus is redefined in order to accommodate the second species.
