Ergasilus clupeidarum sp. n. (Copepoda:Cyclopoida) from Clupeid Fishes of the Southeastern U. S. with a Synopsis of the North American Ergasilus Species with a Two-Jointed First Endopod

The Journal of Parasitology, 1972
Ergasilus clupeidarum sp. n. is described from female specimens taken from gills of Alosa chrysochloris, A. aestivalis, Dorosoma cepedianum, and D. petenense, all from southeastern U. S. waters. The new species has a 2-segmented first endopod which relates it to several Ergasilus species with the same character.
