Performance Analysis for User-Centric Dense Networks With mmWave

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper focuses on the coverage probability and ergodic capacity for millimeter wave (mmWave) user-centric dense networks, where multiple access points (APs) consist of a virtual cell for each user equipment and transmit data with mmWave antennas ...

Causal‐Guided Ultra‐Long‐Term Time Series Forecasting Via Anticipated Covariates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Often treated as unknown, information from the future remains underutilized. We demonstrate that in a coupled dynamical system, providing the future state of the effect enables accurate forecasting of the cause for a long timesteps. A time series forecasting paradigm that introduces anticipated covariates to represent such known future states is ...

Ergodic Capacity for Evaluation of Mobile System Performance

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2020
In this research the performance of 5G mobile system is evaluated through the Ergodic capacity metric. Today, in any wireless communication system, many parameters have a significant role on system performance. Three main parameters are of concern here;

Ergodicity and mixing of invariant capacities and applications

open access: yesThe Annals of Applied Probability
We introduce the notion of common conditional expectation to investigate Birkhoff's ergodic theorem and subadditive ergodic theorem for invariant upper probabilities. If in addition, the upper probability is ergodic, we construct an invariant probability to characterize the limit of the ergodic mean.

Unveiling Mechanisms of SEI Formation and Sodium Loss in Sodium Batteries via Interface Reactor Sampling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An “Interface Reactor” strategy boosts simulation stability by 2–3 orders of magnitude, enabling stable 100 ns molecular dynamics of electrode‐electrolyte interfaces. Distinct SEI formation mechanisms are revealed: mixed co‐formation in carbonates versus surface‐energy‐controlled NaF crystallization in ethers. Metadynamics simulations further elucidate

Single‐subject designs in character education: Methods for rigorous, contextual, and practitioner‐led research

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Character education research is often constrained by blunt methodological tools. Surveys capture breadth without depth; case studies offer richness but lack replicability; and randomised controlled trials (RCTs), though indispensable at the policy level, are costly, disruptive and ill‐suited to everyday practice with individual pupils.

Ergodic capacity for fading channels in cognitive radio networks [PDF]

open access: yes2018 4th International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Signal and Image Processing (ATSIP), 2018
In this paper, we consider a Cognitive Radio (CR) system where two type of users try to access to the primary spectrum : a primary user (PU) owning the spectrum license and a secondary user (SU) who does not own the spectrum license. However, the secondary communication is allowed to coexist with the primary communication as long as the interference ...

Ergodic Fading Interference Channels: Sum-Capacity and Separability [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2011
The sum-capacity for specific sub-classes of ergodic fading Gaussian two-user interference channels (IFCs) is developed under the assumption of perfect channel state information at all transmitters and receivers. For the sub-classes of uniformly strong (every fading state is strong) and ergodic very strong two-sided IFCs (a mix of strong and weak ...

Portfolio Growth Rate and Ergodic Capacity of Fading Channels [PDF]

open access: yes2021 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2021
A relationship between the growth-rate of logoptimal portfolios and capacity of fading single-input multiple output (SIMO) channels are established. Using this relation, stock vector stochastic processes that model the investment environments are stochastically ordered using different criteria. The presence of side information (SI) is considered, and a

Effect of Magnetic Islands on Neoclassical Heat Diffusivity in a Global Tokamak Simulation

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Resonant magnetic perturbations (RMPs) alter magnetic field topology via island formation and can modify core transport in toroidal fusion devices. Using the global gyrokinetic particle‐in‐cell code XGC‐S, originally developed for stellarator geometries, we quantify how island topology affects neoclassical heat transport in a circular tokamak ...
