METHODS OF ERGONYMIC STUDY

The present article describes in details the methods and approaches of ergonymic lexicon study. The study of ergonyms, i.e. proper names of people’s groups with particular aim, was carried out in the course of cognitive onomastics, which priority task is to study the reflection of proper names in native speakers’ mentality.
