In a liquid‐phase reaction between atomic layer deposition reagents and surface moisture, layered Ni‐rich oxide cathode active materials, LiNi0.85Co0.10Mn0.05O2 (NCM851005) and LiNiO2 (LNO), are coated with a hybrid Al/Si‐based layer. The optimal reagent mixture determined from a design of experiments approach and battery testing (>1000 cycles ...

Quinones from Biopolymers and Small Molecules Milled into Graphite Electrodes
By co‐milling of graphite and bark (taken directly from trees without any further processing) hybrid materials are obtained that can be employed as active materials for electrical energy storage. The bark supplies redox active groups while the electrically conductive graphite enables access of redox active groups in the bulk.

Adaptive Self‐Sealing Suction‐Based Soft Robotic Gripper
A minimalistic suction cup design that can be used as a universal soft robotic gripper is proposed. The gripper has a thin and flat elastic membrane, which does not only create an adaptive self‐sealing with parts smaller than the gripper diameter, but can also show enhanced suction on various textured surfaces and grasping various real‐world 3D objects
