Source‐specific nitrate intake and incident dementia in the Danish Diet, Cancer and Health Study

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Dietary nitrate, through conversion to nitric oxide, which supports vascular and nervous system function, may lower dementia risk but may also form neurodegenerative N‐nitrosamines, depending on the nitrate source. METHODS We investigated associations between source‐specific nitrate and nitrite intake and incident and early‐onset ...

Optimizing Disordered Rock Salt Cathodes by Solid‐State Synthesis and Design of Experiments for Enhanced Battery Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2025.
A design of experiments approach is used to optimize the cycling performance of fluorine‐free, disordered rock salt cathodes. By tailoring carbon content and type, as well as lithium (precursor) excess, the study reveals key factors influencing capacity and stability.

Material Characteristics of Low Carbon Steel Sheets Treated by Nitro-Oxidation in Fluid Environment

open access: yes, 2018
The paper deals with a detailed analysis of deep drawing DC 01/DIN EN 10130-9 steel sheets of 1 mm in thickness treated by nitro-oxidation in fluid environment. The nitridation at 580°C/45 min and oxidation at 350°C/5 min was used.

Phosphorus‐Containing Biobased Dimethacrylate Resin with Imine Linkages

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 3, March 2025.
There is an increasing demand for biobased photocurable coatings. Herein, vanillin and dimer diamine are used as biobased building blocks to synthesize a highly biobased dimethacrylate resin with imine linkages and phosphorus groups. Highly biobased (≈68–79%) coatings are prepared by using the newly prepared resin and the coatings displayed good ...

Investigation of formability of CRCA Steel sheet by Erichsen Cupping Test analysis

open access: yesIOSR Journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, 2014
The forming behaviour of cold rolled closed annealed steel sheet in Selected samples with proper annealing and chemical composition for better formability was investigated by Erichsen Cupping test method. The results showed that the formability of cold rolled closed annealed steel having lower percentage of carbon is lesser forming property and ...

Selection of carbon particles with different shape, size and concentration as additives in a stereolithographic resin Zur Auswahl von Kohlenstoff‐Partikeln verschiedener Form, Größe und Konzentration als Additive in einem Stereolithografie‐Harz

open access: yesMaterialwissenschaft und Werkstofftechnik, Volume 56, Issue 1, Page 8-16, January 2025.
A new composite material processed by stereolithography and providing electroconductivity for direct electroplating is presented. Direct electroplating is more environmental than the established process of electroplating on non‐conductive polymers. A commercially available resin is combined with different graphitic fillers.

Using image processing on Erichsen cup test machine to calculate anisotropic property of sheet metal

open access: yesProcedia Manufacturing, 2019
Abstract Erichsen cup test is widely used to test sheet metal formability and ductility according to standard testing methods such as: ISO 8490, EN ISO 20482 and JIS Z-2247. During the Erichsen cup test, the sheet metal is pushed by a ball-shape punch in multi-axis forming until the specimen cracks.

Barrier, converting, and tray‐forming properties of paperboard packaging materials coated with waterborne dispersions

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, Volume 37, Issue 3, Page 149-165, March 2024.
Dispersion coatings can provide barrier properties similar to PET‐coated paperboard with lower dry coat grammage. Aqueous dispersion coatings can be heat‐sealed at temperatures as low as 80°C. Creasing showed negligible effect on coat integrity. Paperboard humidity content is crucial to determine the blocking tendency of the coatings.

Formability of Heat Treated AA19000, AA5052 and Simulation using ABAQUS/CAE

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper the formability of heat treated AA19000 and AA5052 aluminium alloys was studied through experimentation and finite element simulation. The aluminium alloys of 1mm thickness as received and annealed condition were subjected to tensile test ...
