The spectrophotometric determination of thorium with eriochrome black T

Mikrochimica Acta, 1961
From 0.5 to 20μg Th/ml may be determined with Eriochrome Black T in acetate buffered solution. Fewer ions interfere if the determination is performed in hydrochloric acid solution, but the lower limit is raised to 1μg Th/ml.

Reduction of Silver Ions to a Colloid by Eriochrome Black T

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1996
2-Hydroxy-1-(1-hydroxy-2-naphthylazo)-6-nitronaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid sodium salt (Eriochrome Black T, EBT) dye reduces silver ions in an aqueous solution, producing a stable colloidal suspension. The kinetics of the initial stage, monitored by UV−visible absorbance spectroscopy, are characterized by kinetic equations of a complex form, consisting ...

Solvent characteristics in the spectral behaviour of eriochrome black T

Dyes and Pigments, 1994
Abstract The visible electronic spectral behaviour of Eriochrome Black T, in a number of organic solvents of different characteristics has been examined. It was concluded that the dye exists in solution in basic solvents (based on their autoprotolysis constant, pK s ) in an azo ⇌ hydrazone tautomeric equilibrium, while in acetone, acetonitrile and ...

Eriochrome Black T as a Protein Dye

Nature, 1962
BINDING of eriochrome black T to protein was suspected during experimental ultramicro-titration of solutions containing serum proteins, when using eriochrome black T as indicator, because of difficulty in obtaining a value for the indicator blank titration.

Photocatalytic Degradation of Eriochrome Black-T Dye by Immobilized Dowex-1x8

Research Journal of Chemistry and Environment, 2023
Eriochrome Black-T (EBT) is a commonly used textile dye. It is a harmful organic molecule and is also present in textile effluent. The photocatalytic degradation has been studied using MBIR Dowex-1×8 as the photocatalyst. Some parameters such as pH, light intensity, the amount of photocatalyst and initial dye concentration were also studied.
