This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Assessment Erosion 3D Hazard with USLE and Surfer Tool: a Case Study of Sumani Watershed in West Sumatra Indonesia [PDF]
Quantitative evaluation of soil erosion rate is an important basic to investigate and improve land use system, which has not been sufficiently conducted in Indonesia. The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and Erosion Three Dimension (E3D) in ...

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Parameter-parameter Curah Hujan yang Mempengaruhi Penaksiran Indeks Erosivitas Hujan di Sri Aman, Sarawak [PDF]
The soil erosion in some areas can be serious and may continue for such a period that most fertile soil may be lost. Rainfall is the main factor that may result soil erosion.

Assessing spatio-temporal rainfall variability in a tropical mountain area (Ethiopia) using NOAA's rainfall estimates [PDF]
Seasonal and interannual variation in rainfall can cause massive economic loss for farmers and pastoralists, not only because of deficient total rainfall amounts but also because of long dry spells within the rainy season.

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

Temporal and Spatial Variations of Rainfall Erosivity in Beijing in Recent 40 Years
[Objective] Rainfall erosivity serves as an indicator to assess the potential impact of rainfall on soil erosion, playing a crucial role in evaluating regional soil erosion risk.
