Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

A case study of fractional-order varicella virus model to nonlinear dynamics strategy for control and prevalence

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering
The purpose of this work is to construct and evaluate a dynamical susceptible–vaccinated–infected–recovered model for the propagation of the varicella virus in Jordan using existing epidemiological data.

Assessment of Level-3 Gridded Global Precipitation Mission (GPM) Products Over Oceans

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
The performance of Level-3 gridded Global Precipitation Mission (GPM)-based precipitation products (IMERG, Integrated Multi-satellite Retrievals for GPM) is assessed against two references over oceans: the OceanRAIN dataset, derived from oceanic ...

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Analysis of students' errors in solving quadratic equation word problems based on Watson's criteria

open access: yesJournal Focus Action of Research Mathematic
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low student ability in solving word problems in mathematics, indicating significant challenges in understanding and applying mathematical concepts in real-life contexts. The aim of this study is to describe

Estimation with Norm Regularization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Analysis of non-asymptotic estimation error and structured statistical recovery based on norm regularized regression, such as Lasso, needs to consider four aspects: the norm, the loss function, the design matrix, and the noise model.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

A Method for Designing FIR Filters with Arbitrary Magnitude Characteristic Used for Modeling Human Audiogram

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2012
This paper presents an iterative method for designing FIR filters that implement arbitrary magnitude characteristics, defined by the user through a set of frequency-magnitude points (frequency samples).

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Error analysis of surface temperature measurement by thermocouple

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2018
In surface temperature measurement by thermocouple, measurement error was quantitatively investigated when the temperature measuring junction was adhered to the surface and a part of the lead wire was placed on the isothermal surface.
