Error Analysis and the Role of Morphology [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 16th Conference of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics: Main Volume, 2021
We evaluate two common conjectures in error analysis of NLP models: (i) Morphology is predictive of errors; and (ii) the importance of morphology increases with the morphological complexity of a language. We show across four different tasks and up to 57 languages that of these conjectures, somewhat surprisingly, only (i) is true.

Short-Term Wind Power Forecasting Based on VMD Decomposition, ConvLSTM Networks and Error Analysis

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Improving the predicted accuracy of wind power is beneficial to maintaining the secure operation and dispatching of the power system. Therefore, a combined model consisting of the variational mode decomposition(VMD), Convolutional Long short memory ...

Numerical solution of unsteady state fractional advection–dispersion equation

open access: yesArab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2022
In this article, we find the numerical solution of unsteady state fractional order advection–dispersion equation. For an approximate solution of the proposed problem, we apply Laguerre spectral collocation method and the idea of finite difference method.

Error Analysis of Band Matrix Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Numerical error in the solution of the band matrix method based on the elimination method in single precision is investigated theoretically and experimentally, and the behaviour of the truncation error and the roundoff error is clarified.

Automated scheme for linearisation points selection in TPWL method applied to non-linear circuits

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Trajectory piecewise linear (TPWL) approximation is a well-known model order reduction technique for non-linear systems. It involves weighted summation of the dimensionally reduced linear systems obtained at certain points on the system trajectory.

Analysis of Dual Null Field Methods for Dirichlet Problems of Laplace’s Equation in Elliptic Domains with Elliptic Holes: Bypassing Degenerate Scales

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2021
Dual techniques have been used in many engineering papers to deal with singularity and ill-conditioning of the boundary element method (BEM). Our efforts are paid to explore theoretical analysis, including error and stability analysis, to fill up the gap

Analysis of Keying Errors [PDF]

open access: yesErgonomics, 1976
The performance of keyboard operators can be expressed in terms of keying time and errors; this paper deals with errors. If the causes of errors wore known, it might be possible to reduce the percentage of wrong keystrokes. Therefore, an attempt was made to identify these causes by classifying 293 errors, collected in a field study, into seven ...
