Numerical analysis of a coupled pair of Cahn-Hilliard equations with non-smooth free energy [PDF]
A mathematical analysis has been carried out for a coupled pair of Cahn-Hilliard equations with a double well potential function with infinite walled free energy, which appears in modelling a phase separation on a thin film of binary liquid mixture ...

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

On constraint qualifications in mathematical programming
The article is devoted to the condition of R-regularity (Error Bound Property) in problems of mathematical programming. This condition plays an important role in analyzing the convergence of numerical optimization algorithms and it is a fairly general ...

Relationship between financing facilities and small and medium industries: empirical evidence from ARDL bound testing approach [PDF]
A major challenge to the competitiveness of sustainable economic development is a country's global economic position. Small and medium industries, supposed to be drivers of economic development of a country, receive much of negative impact following the ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

A Uniform Error Bound for Overrelaxation Methods
Let Ax = b be a system of linear equations where A is symmetric and positive definite. Suppose that the associated block Jacobi matrix B is consistently ordered, weekly cyclic of index 2, and convergent [i.e., μ1 ≔ ϱ(B) \u3c 1].

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for
