Error Bounds for Lagrange Interpolation

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1995
Consider an interpolation of functions \(f\in W_ \infty^ m [a,b]\) by Lagrange polynomials \(\ell_{m-1}\), \(\Delta(f)\) of degree \(m-1\) at the mesh \(\Delta\) of the interpolating nodes \(\{t_ j\}^ m_ 1\). Error bounds due to this approximation is evaluated as \[ L_{m,k} (\Delta)= \sup_{x\in [a,b]} L_{m,k} (\Delta,x)= {\textstyle {1\over m ...

Quantum error detection .II. Bounds [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2000
In Part II we show that there exist quantum codes whose probability of undetected error falls exponentially with the length of the code and derive bounds on this exponent. The lower (existence) bound for stabilizer codes is proved by a counting argument for classical self-orthogonal quaternary codes.

Near-capacity turbo trellis coded modulation design based on EXIT charts and union bounds

open access: yes, 2008
Bandwidth efficient parallel-concatenated Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation (TTCM) schemes were designed for communicating over uncorrelated Rayleigh fading channels.

Graph-Based Codes and Iterative Decoding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The field of error correcting codes was revolutionized by the introduction of turbo codes in 1993. These codes demonstrated dramatic performance improvements over any previously known codes, with significantly lower complexity.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Measurement Error In Cross-Sectional and Longitudinal Labor Market Surveys: Results From Two Validation Studies [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper reports evidence on the error properties of survey reports of labor market variables such as earnings and work hours. Our primary data source is the PSID Validation Study, a two-wave panel survey of a sample of workers employed by a large firm

Upper bound for block-error rate of S-T codes

open access: yes, 2007
A novel upper bound is proposed using correct probability for evaluation of block-error rate of space-time codes at low signal-to-noise ratio. Analytical and numerical results show that, at low SNR, the proposed bound is tighter and more accurate than ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Error bound for radial basis interpolation in terms of a growth function

open access: yes, 2007
We suggest an improvement of Wu-Schaback local error bound for radial basis interpolation by using a polynomial growth function. The new bound is valid without any assumptions about the density of the interpolation centers.
