Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Reordered Exponential Golomb Error Correction Code for Universal Near-Capacity Joint Source-Channel Coding

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Joint Source-Channel Coding (JSCC) is a powerful technique that allows for the efficient transmission of information by simultaneously considering the characteristics of both the source and the channel.

On the error-correcting capabilities of iterative error correction codes

open access: yesEastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2019
The influence of the theory of information on development of the error correcting coding theory has been studied. Main differences between the probabilistic approach and the deterministic approach in the analysis of error-correcting capabilities of different classes of linear codes have been demonstrated. The automaton hierarchical models for analysis ...

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Joint Source-Channel Coding Using Variable-Length Error-Correcting Codes

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2010
This paper explores the performance of both source coding and error-correction in a single coding step. Such joint source-channel coding is done here using codewords of varying lengths that have particular distance properties with each other, which ...

Efficient Performance and Lower Complexity of Error Control Schemes for WPAN Bluetooth Networks

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2014
This paper presents a new technique of reduction retransmission time by decreasing the discarded packets and combating the complexity through error control techniques. The work is based on Bluetooth, one of the most common Wireless Personal Area Network.

Error-correcting Source Code [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We study how constraint-based static analysis can be applied to the automated and systematic debugging of program errors. Strongly moding and constraint-based mode analysis are turning to play fundamental roles in debugging concurrent logic/constraint programs as well as in establishing the consistency of communication protocols and in optimization.
