Non-linear error correction, asymmetric adjustment and cointegration. [PDF]
This article links the intertemporal choice model with the non-linear error correction (NEC) model. It has three main components. First, it outlines a model of non-linear error correction, in which the linear error correction term ?Xt (the vector time ...

On Metrics for Error Correction in Network Coding
The problem of error correction in both coherent and noncoherent network coding is considered under an adversarial model. For coherent network coding, where knowledge of the network topology and network code is assumed at the source and destination nodes,

A sparsity-driven approach for joint SAR imaging and phase error correction [PDF]
Image formation algorithms in a variety of applications have explicit or implicit dependence on a mathematical model of the observation process. Inaccuracies in the observation model may cause various degradations and artifacts in the reconstructed ...

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Money, income and the Lucas critique: the case for Malaysia [PDF]
The objective of this study is to determine the usefulness of the monetary aggregates in Malaysia for policy action purposes. Money MI and M2 were tested for weak exogeneity, strong erogeneity and superexogeneity (which implies Lucas critique) within a ...

Approximate quantum error correction for generalized amplitude damping errors
We present analytic estimates of the performances of various approximate quantum error correction schemes for the generalized amplitude damping (GAD) qubit channel. Specifically, we consider both stabilizer and nonadditive quantum codes.

QUANTUM ERROR CORRECTION FAILS FOR HAMILTONIAN MODELS [PDF]
It is argued that the existing schemes of fault-tolerant quantum computation, designed for discrete time models and based on quantum error correction, fail for continuous time Hamiltonian models, even with Markovian noise.

The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

A Comparison of Threshold Cointegration and Markov-Switching Vector Error Correction Models in Price Transmission Analysis [PDF]
We compare two regime-dependent econometric models for price transmission analysis, namely the threshold vector error correction model and Markov-switching vector error correction model.

Automated Error Correction of Business Process Models [PDF]
As order dependencies between process tasks can get complex, it is easy to make mistakes in process model design, especially behavioral ones such as deadlocks. Notions such as soundness formalize behavioral errors and tools exist that can identify such errors.
