An Annotated Dataset of Errors in Premodern Greek and Baselines for Detecting Them [PDF]
As premodern texts are passed down over centuries, errors inevitably accrue. These errors can be challenging to identify, as some have survived undetected for so long precisely because they are so elusive. While prior work has evaluated error detection methods on artificially-generated errors, we introduce the first dataset of real errors in premodern ...

Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

Error-detecting properties of languages
AbstractThe language property of error-detection ensures that the communications medium cannot transform a word of the language to another word of the language. In this paper we provide some insights on the notion of error-detection from a language theoretic point of view.

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Validation of experimental charge-density refinement strategies: when do we overfit?
A cross-validation method is supplied to judge between various strategies in multipole refinement procedures. Its application enables straightforward detection of whether the refinement of additional parameters leads to an improvement in the model or an ...

Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′
