Quantum error correction via robust probe modes

open access: yes, 2005
We propose a new scheme for quantum error correction using robust continuous variable probe modes, rather than fragile ancilla qubits, to detect errors without destroying data qubits.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Self testing and repairing computer - A concept [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
STAR computer has five redundant modular function units, fixed store, arithmetic, memory, input, and output. Each unit is connected to a diagnostic control unit, each is coded for error detection and error correction.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Error Detection and Correction On-Board Nanosatellites Using Hamming Codes

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2019
The field of nanosatellites is constantly evolving and growing at a very fast speed. This creates a growing demand for more advanced and reliable EDAC systems that are capable of protecting all memory aspects of satellites.

Predictive Coding and Internal Error Correction in Speech Production

open access: yesNeurobiology of Language, 2023
Speech production involves the careful orchestration of sophisticated systems, yet overt speech errors rarely occur under naturalistic conditions. The present functional magnetic resonance imaging study sought neural evidence for internal error detection

Modeling Data Containing Outliers using ARIMA Additive Outlier (ARIMA-AO) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The aim this study is discussed on the detection and correction of data containing the additive outlier (AO) on the model ARIMA (p, d, q). The process of detection and correction of data using an iterative procedure popularized by Box, Jenkins, and ...
