Empirical Evaluation of Test Coverage for Functional Programs [PDF]
The correlation between test coverage and test effectiveness is important to justify the use of coverage in practice. Existing results on imperative programs mostly show that test coverage predicates effectiveness.

Measuring error rates in genomic perturbation screens: gold standards for human functional genomics
Technological advancement has opened the door to systematic genetics in mammalian cells. Genome‐scale loss‐of‐function screens can assay fitness defects induced by partial gene knockdown, using RNA interference, or complete gene knockout, using new ...

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

TESTING FOR AUTOCORRELATION IN UNEQUALLY REPLICATED FUNCTIONAL MEASUREMENT ERROR MODELS [PDF]
In the ordinary linear models, regressing the residuals against lagged values has been suggested as an approach to test the hypothesis of zero autocorrelation among residuals.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Maximum norm a posteriori error estimation for parabolic problems using elliptic reconstructions
A semilinear second-order parabolic equation is considered in a regular and a singularly perturbed regime. For this equation, we give computable a posteriori error estimates in the maximum norm.
