On the Secure DoF of the Single-Antenna MAC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A new achievability rate region for the secure discrete memoryless Multiple-Access-Channel (MAC) is presented. Thereafter, a novel secure coding scheme is proposed to achieve a positive Secure Degrees-of-Freedom (S-DoF) in the single-antenna MAC.

ANALYSIS OF THE KNOWN METHODS OF CHANNELS COMMUNICATION CONTROL WITH THE INTERFERENCE AND SELECTIVE FADING

open access: yesСучасні інформаційні системи, 2019
Designing adaptive radio systems, depending on their purpose, solves the problem of optimizing one of the performance indicators with restrictions on others.

Information-theoretic bounds for accuracy of letter encoding and pattern recognition via ensembles of datasets M.M. Lange 1, A.M. Lange 1

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика
In this paper, we study stochastic models for discrete letter encoding and object classification via ensembles of different modality datasets. For these models, the minimal values of the average mutual information between a given ensemble of datasets and

Second-Order Asymptotics for the Gaussian MAC with Degraded Message Sets

open access: yes, 2015
This paper studies the second-order asymptotics of the Gaussian multiple-access channel with degraded message sets. For a fixed average error probability $\varepsilon \in (0,1)$ and an arbitrary point on the boundary of the capacity region, we ...

Multiple Quantum Hypothesis Testing Expressions and Classical-Quantum Channel Converse Bounds

open access: yes, 2016
Alternative exact expressions are derived for the minimum error probability of a hypothesis test discriminating among $M$ quantum states. The first expression corresponds to the error probability of a binary hypothesis test with certain parameters; the ...

Construction of matched distance function for simple Markov channel

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики
The problem of error correction in communication channel may be solved by finding the most probable error vector in the channel. The equivalent in some cases problem may be formulated as finding the vector of least weight.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Monitoring groundwater level network of Dezful-Andimeshk plain [PDF]

open access: yesمدل‌سازی و مدیریت آب و خاک
Introduction Preservation and proper management of water resources are one of the essential fields of study in the world. In arid and semi-arid regions like Iran, quantitative and qualitative management of underground water resources is particularly ...

A Nonstochastic Information Theory for Communication and State Estimation

open access: yes, 2014
In communications, unknown variables are usually modelled as random variables, and concepts such as independence, entropy and information are defined in terms of the underlying probability distributions.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...
