Propagation of Errors in Colorimetric Transformations
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1959A common colorimetric transformation is a homogeneous linear transformation of tristimulus values from one primary system to another. The transformation coefficients are obtained by spectrophotornetry and/or visual color matching and consequently are subject to certain errors.

Chromosome error propagation and cancer
Trends in Genetics, 1989A general characteristic of tumour cells is their unstable karyotype. It is suggested here that maintenance of the normal diploid cell depends on the presence of two copies of specific genes; a change in gene dosage of one or more of these genes, by chromosome nondisjunction or rearrangement, may trigger a general loss of accuracy in chromosome ...

Propagation of Errors in Spectrophotometric Colorimetry
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1953An important part of the basis of instrumental colorimetry, namely, the uncertainty of spectrophotometric data, has been neglected in the investigations of color and color specification. The uncertainty of measurement of spectral data results from recurrent and random fluctuations such as slit-width and stray-energy effects and photometric-scale and ...
