CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Stabilized Cat in a Driven Nonlinear Cavity: A Fault-Tolerant Error Syndrome Detector
In quantum error correction, information is encoded in a high-dimensional system to protect it from the environment. A crucial step is to use natural, two-body operations with an ancilla to extract information about errors without causing backaction on ...

Error Correction in Dynamical Codes [PDF]
We ask what is the general framework for a quantum error correcting code that is defined by a sequence of measurements. Recently, there has been much interest in Floquet codes and space-time codes.

Diagnostic error: what Muir-Torre syndrome has taught us [PDF]
A low-grade sebaceous carcinoma was excised from a 55-year-old woman's neck. At follow-up, 11 months later, a recent diagnosis of mucinous adenocarcinoma of the colon and history of clear cell endometrial carcinoma were identified. A strong family history of bowel cancer suggested Muir-Torre syndrome.

We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Monogenic Auto-inflammatory Syndromes: A Review of the Literature
Auto-inflammatory syndromes are a new group of distinct hereditable disorders characterized by episodes of seemingly unprovoked inflammation (most commonly in skin, joints, gut, and eye), the absence of a high titer of auto-antibodies or auto-reactive T ...

Carbohydrate-Deficient Glycoprotein Syndromes: Inborn Errors of Protein Glycosylation [PDF]
The carbohydrate-deficient glycoprotein (CDG) syndromes (CDGS) are a series of autosomal recessive enzyme deficiencies which result in incomplete glycosylation of plasma proteins. CDGS types Ia and Ib have been related to deficiencies of phosphomannomutase and phosphomannose isomerase, respectively, while CDGS type II results from a deficiency of N ...

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.
