Topological Berry Antenna on a Silicon Chip for Terahertz Wireless Communication

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 9, September 2025.
The on‐chip topological Berry antenna for 6G to Xth‐generation wireless communication is designed via integrating various Berry curvatures for an enhanced antenna aperture and radiation gain. This THz antenna has demonstrated a maximum gain of 17 dBi and chip‐to‐chip wireless communications at 20 Gbps over a distance of 15 cm.

On the Optimization of Iterative Clipping and Filtering for PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) offers spectral efficiency advantage, however, it is limited by peak-to-average power (PAPR) problem. The PAPR can be reduced using iterative clipping and filtering (ICF) scheme but requires that the same

Dual Polarization Optical Slicing for C-RAN in 5G Networks based on Radio-over-Fiber

open access: yesRevista UIS Ingenierías
This paper investigates the potential of a dual polarized optical spectral slicing system to enable high-capacity optical links in the Cloud-Radio Access Network (C-RAN) segment based on Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) of a 5G network.

Parallel PWMs Based Fully Digital Transmitter with Wide Carrier Frequency Range

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
The carrier-frequency (CF) and intermediate-frequency (IF) pulse-width modulators (PWMs) based on delay lines are proposed, where baseband signals are conveyed by both positions and pulse widths or densities of the carrier clock.

W-Band OFDM for Radio-over-Fiber Direct-Detection Link Enabled by Frequency Nonupling Optical Up-Conversion

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2014
A system involving W-band (75-110 GHz) optical millimeter (mm)-wave generation using the external optical modulator (EOM) in a radio-over-fiber (RoF) link is presented for satisfying the requirements for multi-gigabit-per-second data rates.

Adaptive Modulation and Coding Using Neural Network Based SNR Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we propose a novel Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) scheme enabled by Artificial Neural Network (ANN) aided Signal-to-Noise power Ratio (SNR) estimation. The Power Spectral Density (PSD) values are trained for SNR classification and it
