A Communication Monitor for Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Software Defined Radio [PDF]
Link quality estimation of reliability-crucial wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is often limited by the observability and testability of single-chip radio transceivers.

The design and experimental validation of an ultra‐wideband 256‐element active phased array operating across the 3–15 GHz frequency range is proposed in this letter. These findings highlight the potential of the array for multifunctional sensor applications on resource‐constrained platforms such as spaceborne and airborne systems, with stringent size ...

A 24-GHz SiGe Phased-Array Receiver—LO Phase-Shifting Approach [PDF]
A local-oscillator phase-shifting approach is introduced to implement a fully integrated 24-GHz phased-array receiver using an SiGe technology. Sixteen phases of the local oscillator are generated in one oscillator core, resulting in a raw beam-forming ...

Analysis and Elimination of Self‐Induced Effect in SINR Estimation
In this paper, we identify a phenomenon known as the self‐induced effect, where a high signal‐to‐interference‐plus‐noise ratio may be estimated even when no signal is actually reaching the receiver. This effect prevents accurate beam quality assessment and limits the effective utilisation of reconfigurable intelligent surface for channel reconstruction.

On the Optimization of Iterative Clipping and Filtering for PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) offers spectral efficiency advantage, however, it is limited by peak-to-average power (PAPR) problem. The PAPR can be reduced using iterative clipping and filtering (ICF) scheme but requires that the same

A Reconfigurable 26‐GHz 128‐Element Transceiver Featuring Broad Gain Control for ISAC Applications
ABSTRACT This letter presents a 128‐element millimetre‐wave integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system. The proposed system integrates the radio frequency (RF) front‐end, RF‐to‐intermediate frequency (IF) converters, IF, and local oscillator (LO) modules into a compact chassis. Multi‐stage gain enables a total transmit gain of up to 62 dB and a

Applying EVM to Satellite on Ground and In-Orbit Testing - Better Data in Less Time [PDF]
Using Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) in satellite integration and test allows rapid verification of the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of a satellite link and is particularly well suited to measurement of low bit rate satellite links where it can result ...
