HLA‐B*15:21 carrier status is a susceptibility factor of carbamazepine‐induced nonimmediate cutaneous adverse reactions in HLA‐B*15:02‐negative patients: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
After HLA‐B*15:02 screening, the residual risk of carbamazepine‐induced nonimmediate cutaneous adverse reactions is 0.059. Among these HLA‐B*15:02‐negative cases, HLA‐B*15:11 and HLA‐B*15:21 carrier status significantly increases the risk of carbamazepine‐induced nonimmediate cADR.

Sun-to-Mud observations of the May and October storms of 2024: impacts on Ireland’s Space Weather

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate
Near the peak of Solar Cycle 25 in 2024, Earth was impacted by two major solar eruptive events which triggered dramatic geomagnetic storm activity. In May 2024, multiple solar eruptive events generated the largest geomagnetic storm since the early 2000s;

On the analysis of eruptive events with non-radial evolution

open access: yesAstrophysics and Space Science
Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are major drivers of space weather disturbances, and their deflection from the radial direction critically affects their potential impact on Earth. While the influence of the surrounding magnetic field in guiding CME trajectories is well established, accurately predicting non-radial propagation remains a challenge.

Listening to Hong Kong children's perspectives through pretend play

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Quality in early childhood education and care (ECEC) has become an increasing concern in recent years. The issue has been regularly discussed by different stakeholders. However, the rising concern regarding quality in ECEC has not seriously taken into account children's perspectives.

Developmental Morphometry of the Paranasal Sinuses in Subjects Aged 1–25 Years: A Computed Tomography Study

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The present study aimed to evaluate the developmental morphometry of the paranasal sinuses using computed tomography (CT) in subjects aged 1–25 years and to characterize age‐related changes in sinus dimensions, volume, and surface area throughout childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood.

The trigger mechanism of low-frequency earthquakes on Montserrat. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A careful analysis of low-frequency seismic events on Soufrie`ere Hills volcano, Montserrat, points to a source mechanism that is non-destructive, repetitive, and has a stationary source location.

Open-closed conduit transitions regulate the large magnitude explosive eruptions of Petrazza, PaleoStromboli I (Stromboli, Italy)

open access: yesScientific Reports
A multi-disciplinary approach of volcano-stratigraphy, petrology and geochemistry has shed light on the pre-eruptive processes, the eruptive triggering, behaviour and the architecture of the magma plumbing system during the explosive cycle of Petrazza at

Tooth autotransplantation following extraction of periodontally hopeless teeth in a periodontitis patient

open access: yesClinical Advances in Periodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The aim of the study is to report clinical outcomes of autogenous tooth transplantation (ATT) of fully developed third molars following the extraction of periodontally hopeless teeth as a part of the treatment of a stage III, grade C, molar‐incisor pattern (MIP) periodontitis case.

A Physics-informed Deep Learning Model for the Magnetic Classification of Solar Active Regions

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Solar active regions (ARs) are the source of solar eruptive events such as flares. The morphology of sunspots within ARs is closely related to solar eruptive activity.

Calcified Plaque Detachment: Alternative Calcified Plaque Modification After Coronary Intravascular Lithotripsy

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Calcified plaque (CP) detachment (CD) and calcium fracture (CF) can occur following coronary intravascular lithotripsy (IVL). The extent to which CF alone facilitates stent expansion during CP modification with IVL remains unclear. Aims This study aimed to investigate the clinical implications of IVL‐induced CD.
