Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides an overview of recent advances in covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for photocatalysis, focusing on sustainable energy applications like water splitting, hydrogen peroxide generation, and CO2 and N2 reduction. It discusses design principles, structure‐function relationships, challenges in COF photocatalysis, and strategies to ...

Is there a direct role for erythrocytes in the immune response?

open access: yesVeterinary Research, 2011
Erythrocytes are highly abundant circulating cells in the vertebrates, which, with the notable exception of mammals, remain nucleated throughout the entire life cycle.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

The physics of Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
An erythrocytes sedimentation rate (ESR) measures how fast a blood sample sediments along a test tube in one hour in a clinical laboratory. Since elevated level of ESR is associated with inflammatory diseases, ESR is one of the routine hematology test in a clinical laboratory.

Acousto-optical method of blood typing: the comparison of application of anti-A and anti-B monoclonal antibodies with standard hemagglutinating sera [PDF]

open access: yesСаратовский научно-медицинский журнал, 2017
The aim of the article is a comparison of resolution of the acousto-optical method for blood typing for two types of reagents: monoclonal antibodies and standard hemagglutinating sera.

Protein‐Like Polymers Targeting Keap1/Nrf2 as Therapeutics for Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We describe a Keap1 targeting protein‐like polymer (PLP) which activates Nrf2, an important cytoprotective transcription factor for relieving myocardial infarction‐induced oxidative stress. This PLP increases cell survival in vitro in multiple relevant cardiac cell types and elicits pro‐reparative responses, improving cardiac function in a preclinical ...
