Esca studies on the structure of amorphous addition complexes of tin dichloride with aromatic schiff bases

Abstract The ESCA characterization of three similar new amorphous addition complexes of tin dichloride with tetradentate aromatic Schiff bases has been carried out. The results support the previously proposed ionic structure.

Studies of some iron dithiolate complexes by the ESCA, Mössbauer and extended Hückel methods

Abstract Iron dithiolate complexes have been studied by Mossbauer and ESCA spectroscopy. Atomic charges and iron atom populations have been evaluated. Molecular orbital calculations have been made using the iterative extended Huckel method. The theoretical results are compared with the experimentally obtained charge distributions.

Satellites in ESCA inner-shell spectra of 3d0 transition metal complexes

Abstract The occurrence of satellites to inner shell ESCA spectral lines is discussed for ions in the beginning of the transition metal series. It is found that the satellites correspond to e′g → e″g and t′2g → t″2g shake-up transitions, where e″g and t″ 2g have mainly metal ion 3d-character.
