Targeting KRAS for cancer therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
In recent years, therapeutics targeted against KRAS proto‐oncogene GTPase (KRAS)‐mutant cancers have seen significant progress. Herein we outline the biology and epidemiology of KRAS alterations at the lineage and allele levels, reviewing the clinical evidence for KRASG12C inhibition from the discovery of the recessive switch pocket to sotorasib ...

RUNX1‐Driven CPXM1 Transcription Promotes Malignant Phenotypes and EMT in Gastric Cancer Cells

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
RUNX1 transcriptionally activates CPXM1, promotes EMT, and enhances the proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of gastric cancer cells. ABSTRACT Gastric cancer (GC) remains a leading cause of cancer‐related mortality worldwide, with current treatment strategies largely limited to surgery, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy.

Management of grapevine trunk diseases: knowledge transfer, current strategies and innovative strategies adopted in Europe

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2018
Since the early 1990s, grapevine trunk diseases (GTDs) have posed threats for viticulture. Esca complex, Eutypa- and Botryosphaeria- diebacks, mostly detected in adult vineyards, are currently responsible for considerable economic losses in the main vine-

ESCA Studies of N,N′-Thiobisamines and of Some of its Chromium Carbonyl Complexes [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung B, 1988
Abstract The X-ray photoelectron spectra of some N,N′-thiobisamines and of two of its complexes with Cr(CO)5 have been studied. The S(2p) binding energies are found to correlate with the effective nuclear charge on the sulfur atom as well as with the double bond character of the S-N linkage.

TRIM59 Drives Bladder Cancer Progression Through E3 Ligase‐Dependent K48‐Linked Degradation of PTRF

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Schematic model of TRIM59‐driven BLCA progression through K48‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of PTRF, leading to AKT activation and c‐Myc upregulation. ABSTRACT Tripartite motif‐containing 59 (TRIM59) is an E3 ubiquitin ligase implicated in multiple malignancies, but its role in bladder cancer (BLCA) remains incompletely understood ...

HierAnom‐Path: Zero‐Shot Rare Cancer Detection in Histopathology via Hierarchical Foundation Model Adaptation

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Rare cancers collectively represent 20%–25% of all malignancies yet yield fewer than 50 annotated whole‐slide images (WSIs) per subtype in publicly available archives, rendering supervised deep learning inapplicable. We present HierAnom‐Path, to the best of our knowledge, the first framework for zero‐shot rare cancer anomaly detection in ...

Do evolutionary algorithm dynamics create complex network structures? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
This paper presents a novel method for visualizing the dynamics of evolutionary algorithms in the form of complex networks. We discuss the analogy between individuals in populations in an arbitrary evolutionary algorithm and vertices of a complex network,

Vineyard age-specific cohorts display similar climate x esca relationships but suggest hidden drivers in younger vineyards

open access: yesOENO One
Esca is a grapevine disease with a unique visual impact. Plants exhibit leaf necrosis with a tiger-striped pattern, sometimes dramatically apoplectic.

Molecular Tumor Boards in Malignant Melanoma: Uncovering Challenges and Opportunities in a Bicenter Retrospective Analysis in Germany

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 9, Page 2290-2299, 1 November 2026.
Molecular tumor boards (MTB), interdisciplinary teams that use tumor genomic data to guide personalized treatment decisions, have emerged as a promising strategy in melanoma care, although their real‐world clinical impact remains uncertain. This retrospective study evaluated advanced melanoma patients to assess molecularly guided treatment ...
