Vocal Phenology of Forest Tinamous Along a Latitudinal Gradient: Effects of Daylength and Precipitation. [PDF]

Based on an analysis of eBird records, this study finds that the vocal patterns of tropical forest tinamous are primarily influenced by changes in daylength, with a secondary effect of precipitation. Birds sang more when days were longer or shorter than 12 h and during drier periods, especially in wetter regions.

Despite the existence of Triassic salt layers, we question the diapiric origin of anticlines in the Iberian Chain and the role of salt in basin formation.
