Bioplastic from Jackfruit Seed Starch and It Is Potency for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Chemistry Learning

open access: yesEduChemia
Plastic waste is a severe environmental problem. One solution is with bioplastic from jackfruit seed starch (JS). However, this bioplastic has weaknesses, such as not being heat resistant and having low mechanical properties, so adding chitosan (CH) and ...

Rational Design of LiNi1‐xFexO2 Electrodes for Enhanced Oxygen Evolution Reaction Under Power‐Fluctuating Operations in Alkaline Water Electrolysis

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
We develop Fe‐incorporated LiNiO2 for the OER in alkaline media, where Fe enhances Ni3+ oxidation state and optimizes eg orbital filling, significantly improving activity under power fluctuations. ABSTRACT The electrochemical performance of alkaline water electrolyzers is hindered by power fluctuations when integrated with renewable energy sources in ...

Oxidative Damage, Energy Imbalance, and Behavioral Disruptions in Girardia tigrina Exposed to Treated Sewage Effluents

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study assessed the ecotoxicological effects of treated sewage on the freshwater planarian Girardia tigrina, integrating biochemical, energetic, and behavioral biomarkers. Planarians were exposed for 48 h to different concentrations of treated sewage (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%) and compared to controls using commercial water and water from

Polyaniline as a dual flame retardant and electrostatic dissipative additive in polyethylene nanocomposites

open access: yesJournal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, Volume 31, Issue 2, Page 339-355, March 2025.
Effecft of co‐doping polyaniline with phosphoric acid and phytic acid on the heat release rate of polyethylene. Abstract Polyolefins, such as polyethylene (PE), are highly flammable and electrically insulative, limiting their applicability. The study explored the flame‐retardancy and electrical conductivity of PE/polyaniline (PE/PANI) nanocomposites ...

ESD GARMENTS

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2014
Protective equipment represents an alternative for the sustainable development of companies and for human health protection. The insertion of "invisible functionalities" in textile structures, the use of functional elements as part of the whole garment are just a few tools which define "freedom" of creation in the field of textiles.

In Situ X‐Ray Diffraction Study of a Microwave‐Based Hydrothermal Synthesis of Mayenite Ca12Al14O33

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
Microwave‐assisted hydrothermal synthesis enables rapid transformation of aluminium‐ and calcium‐hydroxide into mayenite with high surface area. Optimised synthesis conditions comprise a microwave step at 80°C for 5 min followed by calcination at 800°C. The reactions during calcination were studied via in situ XRD measurements.
