Authentic assessment meets sustainable development: Bringing meaning to undergraduate Physiology education

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Sustainable development is a growing global concern, but university students in scientific fields such as Physiology struggle to see its direct relevance to their studies. This research explores how an authentic assessment can integrate the United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals (SDGs) into Physiology education. Students were tasked

A Novel Endoscopic Strategy for Addressing Complex Gastrointestinal Defects via the X‐Tack System: A Case Series With Videos

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The management of complex gastrointestinal defects (CGDs), such as fistulas, leaks, and anastomotic dehiscence, remains challenging. Over‐the‐scope suturing (OTSS) systems provide effective closure, but their application is limited to specific anatomical sites.

Conversion Surgery after Chemotherapy in a Stage IV BRAF V600E‐Mutated Laterally Spreading Tumor With Neuroendocrine Component

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT We report a rare case of a BRAF V600E‐mutated laterally spreading tumor, granular type (LST‐G), with a neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) component in a patient with stage IV colorectal cancer. The patient presented with multiple lymph nodes and liver metastases.

Prophylactic Mechanical Closure for Preventing Delayed Bleeding after Gastric Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
Nine comparative studies (n = 2646) were included. Prophylactic mechanical closure was associated with lower clinically significant delayed bleeding after gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection (risk ratio 0.36, 95% confidence interval 0.16–0.82; I2 = 65%).

A New On-Chip ESD Strategy Using TFETs-TCAD Based Device and Network Simulations

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2018
For the first time, this paper reports the quasi-static behavior and the applicability of the tunnel field effect transistor (TFET) for the on-chip electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. ESD evaluations are performed on 28-nm fully depleted silicon-on-

Systematic Characterization of Graphene ESD Interconnects for On-Chip ESD Protection

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 2016
We report systematic transient characterization of a graphene ribbon (GR) used as an interconnect for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection of future integrated circuits. A large set of GR wires (around 6000) with varying and practical dimensions were fabricated using the chemical vapor deposition method and characterized by transmission line ...

High Risk of Colorectal Cancer After High‐Grade Dysplasia in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 63, Issue 5, Page 706-714, March 2026.
The advantages of colon‐sparing treatment for high‐grade dysplasia should be weighed against the higher risk of metachronous colorectal cancer and the subsequent need for stringent endoscopic surveillance. ABSTRACT Background There are limited data on colorectal cancer (CRC) risk after high‐grade dysplasia in inflammatory bowel disease.
