History of Pharmacy Museums in Turkey [PDF]
The first pharmacy in Đstanbul was set up in 1757, named “Pharmacy with two Gates”. European style pharmacies mostly appeared in the second half of the 19th Century, and their number reached to 300 at the end of the century.
