Novel multimodality endoscopic closure of postoperative esophageal fistula
INTRODUCTIONEsophageal fistula following esophagectomy is associated with significant morbidity and mortality.PRESENTATION OF CASEWe present the case of a 71-year-old man who underwent salvage Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy, following definitive ...

ABSTRACT Background While various pulsed field ablation (PFA) systems for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation have become available in recent years, data comparing long‐term efficacy outcomes remain limited. Purpose To compare long‐term efficacy outcomes of two commercially available PFA systems to perform pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) for AF in a ...

Esophageal Management of an Aortoesophageal Fistula
Aortoesophageal fistula, the formation of a tract between the aorta and esophagus, is rare and associated with a high mortality rate. We present a 49-year-old woman with an extensive type B aortic dissection found to have a tract between the esophagus and aortic false lumen.

This study compared STDE‐guided versus LVZ‐guided ablation beyond PVI in 107 persistent AF patients. At 24 months, the AF‐free survival rate was significantly higher in the STDE group (76.3% vs. 58.4%, p=0.027). STDE ablation independently reduced recurrence risk (HR: 0.29, p=0.004), providing superior clinical efficacy over LVZ ablation.

Fatal aorto-esophageal fistula detected on postmortem computed tomography angiography
The aorto-esophageal fistula (AEF) is a rare life threatening event, mostly first diagnosed postmortem during the autopsy, although an accurate diagnosis can still be complicated. The postmortem computed tomography (PMCT) including an angiography (PMCTA)

This graphical abstract presents a comprehensive analysis of probe stability and oscillation during very high‐power short‐duration (vHPSD) pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) for atrial fibrillation. The findings indicate that oscillation velocity serves as a more reliable predictor of impedance drop and temperature changes than contact force alone ...

Pierre Robin sequence in association with tracheoesophageal fistula and esophageal atresia
The first symptom of esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula is the inability to eat and respiratory distress after feeding. The coexistence of Pierre Robin Sequence (PRS) with esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula is a rare clinical ...
