Granulysin Antimicrobial Activity Promotes Dormancy in Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Exploiting a high‐dimensional mass cytometry approach, we demonstrate that CD56+ lymphocytes promote Mycobacterium tuberculosis dormancy by delivering granulysin, a cytotoxic effector molecule with known antimicrobial activity. ABSTRACT Human tuberculosis (TB) caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) remains a global public health threat.
