A bijection for essentially 3-connected toroidal maps [PDF]
We present a bijection for toroidal maps that are essentially $3$-connected ($3$-connected in the periodic planar representation). Our construction actually proceeds on certain closely related bipartite toroidal maps with all faces of degree $4$ except for a hexagonal root-face.

Design and development of semi-automatic concept map authoring support tool
This research, to design and develop a concept map authoring support tool, adopts a semi-automatic concept mapping approach to help teachers create concept maps from English readings.

Complete genomic and epigenetic maps of human centromeres
Existing human genome assemblies have almost entirely excluded highly repetitive sequences within and near centromeres, limiting our understanding of their sequence, evolution, and essential role in chromosome segregation.

Spatiotemporally consistent data on global cropland extent is essential for tracking progress towards sustainable food production. In the present study, we present an analysis of global cropland area change for the first two decades of the twenty-first ...

A simple theorem is presented that automatically generates the topological transversality theorem and Leray−Schauder alternatives for weakly upper semicontinuous, weakly compact maps. An application is given to illustrate our results.

Sustainability, circular economy and alternative production systems are urgent imperatives for humanity and animal husbandry. Unless wasted, agri-food by-products can offer a promising source of high value.

Essential maps exist from to [PDF]
We show that [ BU,coker J ] ≠ 0 [{\text {BU,coker}}\,J] \ne 0 but that there are no infinite loop maps from BU to coker J J . The proofs involve the Segal conjecture.

Spectral mapping theorems for essential spectra [PDF]
Definition 1. An open semioroup ~ of ~3 will be called an F-semigroup/f (i) a, b ~ ~3 and ab = ba E ~ imply a ~ ~ and b ~ ~, and (ii) there exists a closed ideal R such that ~ = q-1 (S), where S is an open semigroup in ~B/R containin 9 G and havin 9 the property that S\G is also open. It is clear that ~ contains the invertible elements of ~B, and that ~

The Topological Transversality Theorem for Multivalued Maps with Continuous Selections
This paper considers a topological transversality theorem for multivalued maps with continuous, compact selections. Basically, this says, if we have two maps F and G with continuous compact selections and F ≅ G, then one map being essential ...
