ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

A Linear Composition Operator on the Bloch Space
Let n∈N0, ψ be an analytic self-map on D and u be an analytic function on D. The single operator Du,ψn acting on various spaces of analytic functions has been a subject of investigation for many years.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Super Poincaré Inequalities, Orlicz Norms and Essential Spectrum [PDF]
We prove some results about the super Poincaré inequality (SPI) and its relation to the spectrum of an operator: we show that it can be alternatively written with Orlicz norms instead of L1 norms, and we use this to give an alternative proof that a bound on the bottom of the essential spectrum implies a SPI.

In this article, we provide a comprehensive study on the continuity and essential norm of an operator defined by an infinite tridiagonal matrix, specifically when it operates from a weighted Orlicz sequence space or a weighted l∞{l}^{\infty } space into ...

Weighted Composition Operators from Besov Zygmund-Type Spaces into Zygmund-Type Spaces
The boundedness, compactness, and essential norm of weighted composition operators from Besov Zygmund-type spaces into Zygmund-type spaces are investigated in this paper.

Essential norm resolvent estimates and essential numerical range
The main result of this paper are novel two-sided estimates of the essential resolvent norm for closed linear operators T . We prove that the growth of \|(T-\lambda)^{-1}\|_{\textup{e}}

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
