TIE1 Promotes Primary Tumor Growth by Inhibiting Apoptosis and Activating the AKT‐p70S6K Signaling Pathway in Breast Cancer

open access: yesGenes to Cells, Volume 30, Issue 6, November 2025.
Highly lung‐metastatic breast‐cancer cells with elevated TIE1 expression exhibit increased tumorigenicity. In primary tumors, TIE1 undergoes cleavage and promotes cancer cell survival by activating the AKT–p70S6K signaling pathway. ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive molecular subtype among all breast cancer types.

Atypical Myocardial Infarction with Apical Thrombus and Systemic Embolism: A Rare Presentation of Likely JAK2 V617F-Positive Myeloproliferative Neoplasm

open access: yesCase Reports in Oncological Medicine, 2020
A few types of myeloproliferative neoplasms may be significant for Janus-associated kinase 2 mutation, JAK2 V617F, including polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, and primary myelofibrosis.

CALR Type 1‐Like Mutations Increase Endoplasmic Reticulum Free Ca2+ and Induce ERK1/2 Activation Independent of Thrombopoietin Receptor Activation

open access: yesCell Biology International, Volume 49, Issue 10, Page 1262-1273, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Calreticulin is a multifunctional protein found in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen that is important for calcium homeostasis and glycoprotein folding. Mutations in exon 9 of the CALR gene are the second most common genetic cause of myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Essential Thrombocythemia's Role in the Complex Landscape of Vasculitis: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Peripheral gangrenes have been sporadically documented as the initial presentation of essential thrombocythemia (ET), as exemplified in the preceding case reports. Nevertheless, the prevalence of vasculitis‐induced skin problems as the primary indication of ET has not been extensively examined.

Significant increase in the apparent incidence of essential thrombocythemia related to new WHO diagnostic criteria: a population-based study

open access: yesHaematologica, 2009
To observe the effect of the new World Health Organization (WHO) criteria on the incidence of myeloproliferative neoplasms, we performed a retrospective study of a population-based registry in the Côte d’Or area, France, from 1980 to 2007. A total of 524
