On Generalized Distance Gaussian Estrada Index of Graphs

open access: yesSymmetry, 2019
For a simple undirected connected graph G of order n, let D ( G ) , D L ( G ) , D Q ( G ) and T r ( G ) be, respectively, the distance matrix, the distance Laplacian matrix, the distance signless Laplacian matrix and the diagonal matrix of the vertex ...

Igniting Technological and Non‐Technological Innovation for Economic Performance: Enhancing Results by Investing in Human Capital

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how strategic renewal, driven by the interaction among technological, marketing, and organizational innovation, enhances firms' economic performance. Using a panel dataset of 8871 Spanish firms covering the period 2009–2016, we provide empirical evidence on the different effects of each type of innovation and their ...

A new combination in Strophopappus (Asteraceae, Vernonieae, Lepidaploinae)

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Revisions of herbarium collections reveal a new combination in Strophopappus (Asteraceae, Vernonieae, Lepidaploinae). Strophopappus comprises nine species occurring in South America, eight of which are endemic to Brazil. Currently, Vernonia riedeliana is treated as a synonym of Strophopappus bicolor.

Predictive potential of distance-related spectral graphical descriptors for structure-property modeling of thermodynamic properties of polycyclic hydrocarbons with applications

open access: yesScientific Reports
A distance-related spectral descriptor is a graphical index with defining structure built on eigenvalues of chemical matrices relying on distances in graphs.

New Bounds for the Harmonic Energy and Harmonic Estrada index of Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2018
Let $G$ be a finite simple undirected graph with $n$ vertices and $m$ edges. The Harmonic energy of a graph $G$, denoted by $\mathcal{H}E(G)$, is defined as the sum of the absolute values of all Harmonic eigenvalues of $G$.

Sinningia pampeana sp. nov. (Gesneriaceae) from the Pampa's rocky outcrops in southern Brazil and Uruguay

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Sinningia pampeana is a new rupicolous species from the rocky outcrops of the Pampa biome in southern Brazil and Uruguay. Morphological analyses based on herbarium material, field observations, and detailed illustrations support its recognition as a distinct species from Sinningia sellovii.

Quantile graphs for EEG-based diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
Known as a degenerative and progressive dementia, Alzheimer's disease (AD) affects about 25 million elderly people around the world. This illness results in a decrease in the productivity of people and places limits on their daily lives ...

Foraging and movement flexibility shape seed dispersal by an arboreal primate in a modified landscape

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
As habitats change, the effectiveness of animal‐mediated seed dispersal increasingly depends on animal responses to altered structure and resources. With habitat loss and degradation accelerating across the tropics, understanding how dispersers' foraging behavior and movement influence seed removal and deposition is critical to promoting forest ...

Partial recovery of large seed arrival following ecological restoration in fragmented tropical rainforests

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
Forest restoration success depends crucially on the reinitiation of ecological processes such as seed arrival that drive natural regeneration. We know little about whether, by increasing and diversifying local seed sources to alleviate seed limitation, and attracting animal frugivores to alleviate dispersal limitation, restoration could shift seed ...

On the Eigenvalues and Energy of the Seidel and Seidel Laplacian Matrices of Graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society
Let SΓ be a Seidel matrix of a graph Γ of order n and let DΓ=diagn−1−2d1,n−1−2d2,…,n−1−2dn be a diagonal matrix with di denoting the degree of a vertex vi in Γ. The Seidel Laplacian matrix of Γ is defined as SLΓ=DΓ−SΓ.
