Abstract Estriol-6-(O-carboxymethyl) oxime (E 3 -6-CMO) and estriol-4-azobenzoic acid (E 3 -4-ABA) were coupled to BSA and compared with regard to antigenicity and antiserum specificity as well as suitability for radioimmunoassay (RIA) of unconjugated and total plasma estriol (E 3 ) and, if possible, of immunoreactive E 3 in unextracted plasma. Relationship of amniotic fluid estriol to maternal urinary estriol
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1968Abstract Amniotic fluid estriol and amniotic fluid volume were measured in 16 normal and 8 abnormal third trimester gestations. A wide and overlapping range in the amniotic fluid estriol was found in both groups. However, values less than 100 µg per liter were consistently indicative of fetal jeopardy.

Radioimmunoassay of Plasma Estriol
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1971ABSTRACT A radioimmunoassay for the measurement of plasma unconjugated estriol (E3) is described. The hemiscuccinates of E3 were coupled to human serum albumin using carbodiimide, and the conjugates were used to immunize four ewes. One of the antisera obtained after 3 months of immunization was used in the assay procedure. Celite microcolumns were used

SCREENING IN PREGNANCY WITH UNCONJUGATED ESTRIOL COMPARED WITH TOTAL ESTRIOL
Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 1985Abstract. An obstetric population was screened ‘blind’ by measuring unconjugated estriol (ucE3) and total estriol (tE3) in serum. The purpose was firstly to ascertain the predictive values of ucE3 for the prediction of low birth weight and distressed neonates (perinatal deaths included), and secondly to compare the predictive values of ucE3 and tE3 ...

Estriol: emerging clinical benefits
Menopause, 2017AbstractObjective:Estriol is the main estrogen in pregnancy, but has received less attention outside gestation.
