CK2α Deficiency Drives Myocardial Fibrosis via Desmin‐Induced Mitochondrial Dysfunction
CK2α preserves mitochondrial homeostasis by phosphorylating Desmin to recruit Cryab, ensuring proper filament assembly. CK2α deficiency disrupts this interaction, causing mitochondrial dysfunction, metabolic shifts, bioenergetic failure, and oxidative stress—ultimately establishing a pro‐fibrotic environment that drives cardiac fibrosis.

A dual‐color pseudo‐menstrual mouse model enables real‐time tracing of circulating endometrial cells (CECs) from uterine and ectopic sources. The study reveals menstrual‐phase‐dependent, burst‐like CEC release, distinct postoperative behaviors of different CEC origins, and a potential association with prolactin fluctuations, providing an in vivo ...

The murine female intestinal microbiota does not shift throughout the estrous cycle.
Pregnancy is accompanied by maternal physiological adaptations including metabolic, endocrine, immune, cardiovascular, skeletomuscular and neurological modifications that facilitate fetal and placental growth and development.

Determination of the rat estrous cycle vased on EfficientNet. [PDF]
In the field of biomedical research, rats are widely used as experimental animals due to their short gestation period and strong reproductive ability. Accurate monitoring of the estrous cycle is crucial for the success of experiments. Traditional methods

Motivated behavior and the estrous cycle in rats [PDF]
Abstract (1) The estrous cycle in the rat may be used to study recurrent changes in motor behaviors and motivation which are strongly related to cyclic hormonal and CNS changes. (2) The peak in motivated behaviors occurs during a sharply defined period on the night between proestrus and estrus and is evident in facilitated wheel-running, lordosis ...

A preclinical mouse model mimicking the ovarian cancer‐induced estrogen deficiency‐depression axis
A preclinical mouse model of ovarian cancer–related depression was developed by combining intraperitoneal tumor cell injection, ovariectomy, and chronic restraint stress. The model replicates key clinical features including estrogen deficiency, depressive‐like behaviors, and tumor progression, and provides a reliable tool for studying the endocrine ...

To address the limitations of existing models, this study innovatively established a mouse model of endometriosis (EMs) capable of mimicking cyclic bleeding. Our results confirmed that this model recapitulates the complete pathological progression from ectopic lesion establishment to systemic responses, exhibiting superior clinical relevance compared ...

We observed a negative effect of brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS) in a staggered manner based on the severity of the condition on respiratory and cardiac patterns, glycemia, acid–base balance, fetal growth, and uterine artery hemodynamics, thus requiring adaptations within the fetal–placental unit. Severely affected bitches had uterine
