RESEARCHES REGARDING ESTRUS INDUCTION AND SYNCHRONIZATION IN SOWS AFTER WEANING

open access: yesCluj Veterinary Journal, 2009
The purpose of this paper was to improve the reproductive performances of sows after weaning in a private swine farm. The main objective was to implement modern reproductive biotechnologies (estrus synchronization, artificial insemination and ...

Evaluating the effects of different methods of estrus synchronization in the agouti (Dasyprocta leporina)

open access: yesTheriogenology Wild, 2023
There has been limited work done on estrus synchronization or induction in the Dasyprocta species. This experiment sought to apply three different methods of estrus synchronization to fifteen agoutis (Dasyprocta leporina) which were placed into three ...

Estrus Synchronization and Artificial Insemination in Goats

open access: yesGoat Science, 2018
Goats are small ruminants found worldwide. They provide humans with meat, milk and skin. In many rural communities, goats serve as a store of economic value and are used in cultural celebration. The world population in rapidly growing and is predicted to

Haploinsufficiency of brain‐specific kinase BRSK1 causes epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disorders

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective The BRSK1 gene encodes brain‐specific serine/threonine kinase 1 (also known as SAD‐B kinase), which is almost exclusively expressed in the brain and plays critical roles in neuronal polarization, neurotransmitter release, mitochondrial dynamics, and neuronal maturation.

Periovulatory Hormonal Profiles after Estrus Induction and Conception Rate by Fixed-Time AI in Payoya Goats during the Anestrous Season

open access: yesAnimals, 2022
Sexual activity in domestic goats is positively influenced by reducing the photoperiod. Various protocols have therefore been developed in goats for the induction and synchronization of estrus during those months in which their sexual activity is reduced.

SYNCHRONIZATION OF ESTRUS IN EWES

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 1987
A group of 15 Awasi ewes were inserted with intravaginal sponges of Veramix plus which were removed thirteen days later. Immediately after removal of the sponges, they were injected with 500 IU of FSH intramuscularly. All ewes were came to estrus within 2-3 days after injection.

Mapping the variability of in vivo rat uterine electrical properties throughout the oestrous cycle

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract After reaching sexual maturity, uterine function is driven by cyclical variations in hormone levels. The electrical and mechanical activity in the uterus varies during the menstrual cycle, contributing to essential functions such as sperm transport and shedding the menstrual lining.

Features of reproduction and assisted reproduction in the white (Ceratotherium simum) and black (Diceros bicornis) rhinoceros [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Despite the worldwide increase of rhinoceros calf numbers, the growth of the population of white and black rhinoceros is slowing down mainly due to anthropogenic causes, such as poaching and habitat loss.

Use of Propylene-Glycol as a Cosolvent for GnRH in Synchronization of Estrus and Ovulation in Sheep

open access: yesAnimals, 2020
Simple Summary The foreseeable shortage of equine chorionic gonadotrophin (eCG) for estrus synchronization in sheep will have a huge impact on breeders using out-of-season breeding, artificial insemination, or embryo transfer because there is no other ...
