EVALUATION OF ETHINYLESTRADIOL (EE2) EFFECT ON EMBRYO DEVELOPMENT IN COMMON CARP (CYPRINUS CARPIO)

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
Worldwide, the scientific researches performed during the last years are focused on the determination of the negative effects caused by natural and antropogeneous chemical compounds on aquatic species; these species are more exposed to most pollutants ...

Magnetic Water Cleaning of Estrogens via Tight yet Dynamic Binding to Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micropollution is one of the big challenges humanity faces with estrogen hormones being emerging pollutants of concern. Here, a supramolecular design strategy is presented that generates a simple nano‐adsorbent material to magnetically remove low‐concentrated estrogens from water.

Prenatal and pubertal exposure to 17α‐ethinylestradiol cause morphological changes in the prostate of old gerbils

open access: yes, 2021
This study evaluated such as exposure to ethinylestradiol during the prenatal (18th–22nd day) and pubertal (42nd–49th day) periods acts on the male ventral prostate and female prostate of 12-month old gerbils.

Pharmacokinetics (PK) of ethinylestradiol/levonorgestrel co-administered with atazanavir/cobicistat

open access: yesHIV Research & Clinical Practice, 2019
Background and objectives: Access to safe and reliable contraception in the context of ARVs is essential. This study aimed to investigate the steady-state pharmacokinetics (PK) of ethinylestradiol/levonorgestrel (EE/LNG) 30/150 μg (Microgynon®) and ...

Rapid and Reusable Amino Acid–Derived MOFs for the Removal of Estrogenic Hormones From Real Water Matrices

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A family of amino‐acid–derived MOFs enables ultrafast (>90–95% in 30 s) simultaneous removal of four estrogenic contaminants from water under SPE conditions. A leucine‐based MOF shows excellent regenerability and robustness in real samples, with structural evidence revealing efficient hormone encapsulation.

Removal of ethinylestradiol by adsorption process from aqueous solutions using entrapped activated carbon in alginate biopolymer: isotherm and statistical studies

open access: yesApplied Water Science, 2019
The aim of this study is to decrease ethinylestradiol contaminants using entrapped activated carbon in alginate biopolymer (AG-AC) by adsorption. Different ethinylestradiol concentrations were prepared in the laboratory.

DRUG RELEASE FROM PLURONIC GELS [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Assiut University, 1994
The release rate of progesterone, dexamethasone, ethinylestradiol and a-methyldopa(MD) was determined in aqueous gels of pluronic surfactants (F-65, F-127, F-123) and the effects of concentration and temperature were investigated.

The effect of antiseizure medications on the exposure to combined oral contraceptives: A systematic review and network meta‐analysis

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Current recommendations for prescribing combined oral contraceptives (COCs) to people with epilepsy are often conflicting, particularly for weak inducers of cytochrome P450 3A4. We aimed to critically review the literature and compare the antiseizure medication (ASM)‐induced changes in exposure to COC components.
