Ethyl benzene detection by BN nanotube: DFT studies [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Saudi Chemical Society, 2017
Electrical sensitivity of a boron nitride nanotube (BNNT) was examined toward ethyl benzene (C8H10) molecule by using density functional theory (DFT) calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level, and it was found that the adsorption energy (Ead) of ethyl ...

Photochemical Ethoxycarbonylmethylation of Benzene with Ethyl Haloacetates [PDF]

open access: bronzeBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1969
Abstract The ultraviolet light-induced reaction of ethyl haloacetate with an excess benzene gives ethyl phenylacetate (1.7%) and diethyl succinate (1.6%) as main products, while the same reaction of excess chloroacetate with benzene gives ethyl phenylacetate higher yield (optimum 78.4%).

Optimization of Solid Phase Micro-Extraction (SPME) for Monitoring Occupational Exposure to Ethyl Benzene [PDF]

open access: greenMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ̒Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Qum, 2009
Background and Objectives: Analytical methods for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in different samples need extraction of compounds, by applying hazardous solvents. Solid phase micro-extraction (SPME) is a solvent-free equilibrium extraction method, in
