Materials exist that are useful for gamma scintillation, radiation shielding, neutron‐gamma pulse shape discrimination (PSD), thermal neutron detection, or high refractive index applications. While certain materials have exhibited optimal performance for each of these applications, none achieve multiple functions.

Synthesis and antibacterial activity of some Schiff base complexes [PDF]
Two Schiff bases were synthesized from raceacetophenone: 1) ADS1: 4-ethyl-6-{(E)-1-[(3-nitrophenyl)imino]ethyl}benzene-1,3-diol and 2) ADS3: 4-ethyl-6-{(E)-1-[(2-nitrophenyl)imino]ethyl}benzene-1,3-diol. Then their metal complexes were formed. The metals

Degradable Polyphosphoester (PPE) gradient copolymers (GCPs) are synthesized via one‐pot copolymerization. We show that GCPs self‐assemble into nanostructures like polymersomes, effectively mimicking the behavior of traditional BCPs. The gradient strength is key, with softer gradients favoring micelles.

LED Irradiation of a Photocatalyst for Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl benzene, and Xylene Decomposition [PDF]
Abstract Studies on the use of gas phase applications of light emitting diodes (LEDs) in photocatalysis are scarce although their photocatalytic decomposition kinetics of environmental pollutants are likely different from those in aqueous solutions. The present study evaluated the use of chips of visible light LEDs to irradiate nitrogen doped titania

xxxx. ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM) remains one of the most lethal brain cancers, with median survival rarely exceeding 15 months after diagnosis. Interleukin‐12 (IL‐12) is a potent immunostimulatory cytokine capable of reshaping the tumor microenvironment (TME), yet its clinical translation is hindered by systemic toxicity and short half‐life. RNA‐based

Diathermy smoke: a risk to perioperative practitioners? [PDF]
The use of diathermy as a cautery device is common practice in perioperative environment, however issues relating to the health and safety of the smoke produced through the vaporisation of tissue may still not be recognised by practitioners.
