Inverse‐designed metasurfaces for wavefront restoration in under‐display camera systems

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 17, Page 2963-2978, August 2025.
Abstract Under‐display camera (UDC) systems enable full‐screen displays in smartphones by embedding the camera beneath the display panel, eliminating the need for notches or punch holes. However, the periodic pixel structures of display panels introduce significant optical diffraction effects, leading to imaging artifacts and degraded visual quality ...

A review of β-amyloid neuroimaging in Alzheimer’s disease

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2014
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia worldwide. As advancing age is the greatest risk factor for developing AD, the number of those afflicted is expected to increase markedly with the aging of the world’s population.

The Strong Impact of Precipitation Intensity on Groundwater Recharge and Terrestrial Water Storage Change in Arizona, a Typical Dryland

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 14, 28 July 2025.
Abstract This study demonstrates the critical role of precipitation intensity in groundwater recharge generation and terrestrial water storage (TWS) change. We conducted two experiments driven by precipitation products with close annual totals but distinct intensity in Arizona, using the Noah‐MP model with advanced soil hydrology.

Resonance structure in the Li^- photodetachment cross section

open access: yes, 1997
We report on the first observation of resonance structure in the total cross section for the photodetachment of Li^-. The structure arises from the autodetaching decay of doubly excited ^1P states of Li^- that are bound with respect to the 3p state of ...

Extreme Terahertz Nonlinearity of AlGaN/GaN‐Based Grating‐Gate Plasmonic Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 21, July 25, 2025.
Plasmonic crystals based on grating‐gated 2D electron gas in AlGaN/GaN heterostructures provide a platform for strong light‐matter interaction. Pump‐probe experiments revealed strong terahertz nonlinearity leading to 45% increase in transmission at a fluence below 350 nJ cm−2.

Brain Pathology in Myotonic Dystrophy: When Tauopathy Meets Spliceopathy and RNAopathy

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Neuroscience, 2014
Myotonic dystrophy (DM) of type 1 and 2 (DM1 and DM2) are inherited autosomal dominant diseases caused by dynamic and unstable expanded microsatellite sequences (CTG and CCTG, respectively) in the non-coding regions of the genes DMPK and ZNF9 ...

A CSP-Based Trajectory for Designing Formally Verified Embedded Control Software [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper presents in a nutshell a procedure for producing formally verified concurrent software. The design paradigm provides means for translating block-diagrammed models of systems from various problem domains in a graphical notation for process ...
