Are novel and co‐xenic associations common in alien fungal and fungus‐like plant pathogens?

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 252, Issue 2, Page 843-860, October 2026.
Possible scenarios for plant–pathogen associations during invasion. An introduced plant may occur in a new area without its pathogen (enemy release) or together with its pathogen (co‐introduction). The presence of the alien plant (in red) and its co‐introduced pathogen (in dark red) can result in pathogen spillover to co‐occurring plants. Host jumps to

Impact of Transported Wildfire Emissions on Urban PM2.5 and O3 in Queensland, Australia

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 18, 28 September 2026.
Abstract Wildfires degrade urban air quality by transporting fine particulate matter (PM2.5 ${\text{PM}}_{2.5}$) and ozone (O3 ${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$) precursors. Such impacts are seldom quantified in the Southern Hemisphere. This study quantified contributions of wildfire emissions to ambient PM2.5 ${\text{PM}}_{2.5}$ and O3 ${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ (ΔPM2.5 ...

Phytotoxic Effects of Ethanolic Extracts of Magonia pubescens A.St.‐Hil. (Sapindaceae) on the Germination of Emilia sonchifolia (L.) DC. Seeds

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
Ethanolic extracts from Magonia pubescens exhibit concentration‐dependent allelopathic activity against Emilia sonchifolia. Leaf extracts strongly inhibit seed germination and seedling growth, surpassing glyphosate under the tested conditions, whereas intermediate concentrations stimulate germination, indicating hormesis.

Contrasting Coastal Environments Are Associated With Ecotype‐Specific Leaf Polyphenolic Profiles and Bioactivity in Corema album subsp. album

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
Leaves of two Corema album subsp. album ecotypes from two contrasting coastal microclimates were analysed using mineral profiling, (poly)phenolic assays, and LC–MS metabolomics. Ecotype‐specific metabolic strategies were revealed, linking environmental stress to antioxidant and cytotoxic activities.

Medicinal Plants in Poultry During Post-Antibiotic Era in One-Health Approach: An Extensive Review. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Med Sci
One‐Health is a gift of 21st century and human being must fulfill his obligations. Poultry industry is growing steadily and faster than other food animals' industries, and intensive poultry production is the frontier in producing antibiotic‐free foods for human beings.
