Influence of Eucalyptus spp. essential oils and tannins on herbivory
Eucalyptus (family Myrtaceae), a native plant from Australia, is a genus cultivated due to its oil, gum, pulp and timber used worldwide for different commercial applications. It is a plant with significant economic importance and possibly its cultivation, in Brazil and other countries, has reduced the exploitation of native trees.

The response of bats to Australian megafires was assessed one year after fires. High severity fire had a negative effect on total bat activity and the activity or occupancy of six species, while a further 10 species was not associated with any fire covariate. Overall, bat responses were complex and not easily predicted by traits alone.
